The mechanical properties of the PECSed composites were closely related to the properties and kinds of solid lubricants used. The tribological behaviors were related to the surface morphology and formation of transferred films of wear debris. The coefficient of friction for the PECSed composites was distinguished by the different kinds of solid lubricants. The coefficient of friction for the PECSed composites containing solid lubricants (except MoS2) was higher than that of reference composite. Besides, the coefficient of friction for the surface textured composites was similar behaviors of composites having untextured surface. After surface texturing, the friction coefficient of all composites including solid lubricants was higher than that of reference composite. The reduction of friction coefficient of composites was observed to reference and h-BN sample. On the other hand, the coefficient of friction of the composite containing BaF2 was increased. |
