Fossil fuel consumption has increased steadily since the industrial revolution as the environment pollution including global warming has grown and more countries have become industrialized. Currently attracting attention as an alternative fuel is bio-ethanol of bio-energy. Yeast for bio-ethanol production is known saccharomyces cerevisiae, zymomonas mobilis, etc. Among them, zymomonas mobilis can be used in the development of cost-effective ethanol production. In the study, we were researched to characteristic of zymomonas mobilis mutant by UV-B radiation. UV-B 254nm(15w) was radiated to Zymomonas mobilis for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 min. Compared to wild type, UV radiation time was longer and had higher death rate. Since then, we would like to process the ethanol production used by survive yeast. |
