Interfacial polymerization (IP) has paved a way to fabricate specific products such as film, fiber, and membrane. Conducting PEDOT nanomaterials have diverse applications such as polymer LED, transparent antistatic coating, and metallization of insulating devices. However, it is difficult to synthesize PEDOT nanocapsules and mesocullular foams by conventional polymerization method. PEDOT nanomaterials such as nanocapsules and mesocellular foam were selectively fabricated by surfactant mediated interfacial polymerization (SMIP) in which micelles acted as a porogen as well as a polymerization site. The shape of PEDOT nanomaterials was strongly dependent on the surfactant concentration. PEDOT nanomaterials showed the enhanced electrochemical performance of supercapacitor compared with pristine PEDOT particles. |
