Cardanol has an unsaturated chain with 1 to 3 double bonds that have antimicrobial properties in the meta position of the phenol group, making it a resource for preparing new functional materials for various polymers. The development of a new polyurethane polyols from cardanol, a renewable resource obtained by cashew nut is often reported. In this study, bio-Polyol synthesis is modified via ethanolamine using formaldehyde. The synthesis of polyols was confirmed by H-NMR and FT-IR. The synthesis of polyurethane was confirmed through FT-IR. The thermal stability and properties of the polyurethane were analyzed by TGA, chemical resistance and UTM. |
