Strong Influence of Polymer Molecular Weights in Organic Transistor Memory Devices with Low-Voltage and Outstanding Retention Characteristics |

Since the successful launching of organic light-emitting devices, great attention has been paid to organic electronic devices because of their possibility to create new markets for flexible electronics. Recently, of various organic electronic devices, organic memory devices make silent advances through a variety of material combinations and device structures. Two representative types of organic memory devices can be classified to organic resistor memory and organic transistor memory, respectively. Very recently, our group invented organic transistor memory devices with a polymer energy well structure which act as a charge trap. In addition, we demonstrated that polymers with polar groups play an efficient charge trapping role in the structure of organic transistor memory devices. This presentation will discuss the molecular weight effect of polymer memory layers on the performance of organic transistor memory devices operated at low voltages (<5V). |
