In this study, epoxy / polyetherimide (PEI) composite was prepared by blending. The content of PEI varied from 0 to 4 wt%, and the effects on the thermal and mechanical behavior of the composites were studied. The thermal behavior of composites was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The mechanical behavior of the composites was measured using a universal tester for fracture toughness (UTM), and the fracture surface morphology of the composite was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These results show that PEI plays an important role in improving the thermal and mechanical behavior of epoxy composites. |
