제목 | Process Design of Amine-Based CO2 Capture Process with a Low-Pressure Flash Column |
초록 | This study focuses on technical feasibility for possible configurational changes to amine-based capture processes and providing process design strategies for the reduction of energy consumption for amine-based capture processes. The case study considered in this work is the hydrogen plant based on SMR (Steam Methane Reforming). Among possible CO2 sources from the hydrogen plant, the syngas stream after a shift converter being discharged at high pressure is selected and structural changes through the addition of a low pressure flash column and a semi-lean amine stream are considered. Comparison between the conventional absorber-stripper arrangement and the process integrated with a low pressure flash column is carried out, and the optimal design is proposed through the sensitivity analysis by changing the key design parameters.
