제목 Synthesis and characterization of high temperature polycarbonate by aromatic bisphenol containing pyridine.
초록 Polycarbonate has good mechanical properties, electrical properties and thermal stability. Thus it is being applied in various fields. The purpose of this study is to improve glass transition temperature for using at elevating areas, automoble and electric equipment. New monomer, BHPPP(2,6-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-phenyl pyridine), was synthesized by chichibabin reaction, which is bright yellow color crystal. The interfacial polymerizations were carried out in methylenechloride and water. And in order to increase the reactivity, terephthaloyl chloride was used as co-momomer. Chemical structure and thermal properties of copolycarbonates were measured by using 1H-NMR, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Tg (glass transition temperature) was compared to that of bisphenol-A based polycarbonate (PC). The Tg of polycarbonates containing BHPPP is highly increased because of the resonance structure of N and steric hindrance of aromatic ring.
