Hydrogels of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) copolymerized with acrylic acid [P(NIPAAm-co-AAc)] were prepared with cross-linking degree of 2% using (N,N’-methylenebisacrylamide) as a cross-linking agent. The characteristics of hydrogels were investigated by swelling experiment, Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy. Hydrogels exhibited high swelling ratio upto 28hours at 25℃ and 35℃, respectively. The swelling of hydrogels strongly depended on the composition of copolymers and also on pH and temperature. The swelling of hydorgels at various pHs and temperatures showed that all copolymers got stimuli-reponsive properties. |
