Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) experiment was carried out to study the OOTs and the interface between two phases. Various ordered structures were identified from the diffraction pattern of SAXS, and the diblock copolymer showed various OOTs; lamellae (L) → hexagonally perforated layer (HPL) → gyroid (G) → hexagonally ordered cylinder (HEX). Also, phase transition temperatures were estimated from the elastic modulus (G’) of rheological measurements and from the maximum scattering intensity of SAXS results. Attention has been focused on the estimation of the specific area from the analysis based upon the deviations from Porod’s law. Vonk’s equation (I(q)= a+bqn) was used in order to subtract thermal density fluctuations. The specific area was found to increase gradually as the transition proceeds from L to HEX via HPL and G. Especially, the specific area increased rapidly at the position where phase transition occurs. Comparison of the experimental results with theoretical value deserves more study. |
