제목 | Nano-indentation Study of the PMDA-ODA-PDA Copolyimide Thin Films |
초록 | The nano-indentation study of the poly(p-phenylene pyromellitimide) (PMDA-PDA), poly(oxydiphenylene pyromellitimide)s (PMDA-ODA), and their PMDA-PDA-ODA random copolyimide thin films according to PDA contents has been examined with nano-indenter. In addition, their morphological structures were investigated with prism coupler and wide angle X-ray diffractometer. For each polyimide thin film, the hardness and modulus increase with increasing PDA contents at loads of 0.127 mN. Their birefringences increase with increasing PDA contents, and in the WAXD patterns, the polyimide thin films showed higher chain ordering along the chain plane than the chain axis according to PDA contents. Therefore, it shows that the hardness and modulus of polyimide thin films was significantly affected by their morphological structure: crystallinity, molecular order, and orientation.
