제목 Chemical Deposition of Conducting Polymer on the Peptide-Immobilized Surface
초록 In this study, the use of a peptide motif was examined for the polypyrrole film deposition on the silicon wafer substrate. Thin film of polypyrrole doped with chlorine (PPyCl) is chemically deposited on the substrate that was decorated with peptide motif having a good affinity to PPyCl. This peptide motif is immobilized on the wafer surface through the surface chemistry of 3-amionopropylethoxysilane with glutaraldehyde as a cross-linker. The peptide covered surfaces were characterized by fluorescence microscopy. The peptide motif resulted in formation of thinner PPyCl layer comparing to the case of no peptide immobilization. This result suggests that the thickness of PPyCl film mainly depends on interfacial property of surfaces. The outcomes of this study suggest that the peptide motif can be used for binding of PPyCl to the substrate and can improve the electrical conductivity.
