Layered Structure of Graphene Oxide with Dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide and Oriented Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Composites |

Graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been developed in wide range of numerous applications such as transparent electrode, photovoltaic and display devices. In this work, we simply fabricated the hybrid complex of exfoliated graphene oxide (GO) sheets with dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide (DODA) and functionalized single walled carbon nanotubes (f-SWCNTs) at the liquid-gas interface by using Langmuir technique. From the results of AFM and GISAXS, we found that the orientation of f-SWCNTs was seen after f-SWCNT monolayer compression and deposition on silicon substrates. X-ray diffraction technique was used to measure the GO layer space of the multilayer in presence of f-SWCNT or amine-terminated surfactant, DODA, as a function of annealing temperature. These GO/f-SWCNT hybrids with orientation can improve the electron conductivity due to conducting SWNT between reduced GO sheets, which can provide potential methods for their application of flexible transparent graphene devices. |
