The electrochemical hybrid capacitor can perform that need to high power operations and long cycle life; it utilizes the charge-transfer pseudocapacitance arising from reversible faradic reactions. Li4Ti5O12 has good reversibility of Li-ion insertion / extraction. It associated the long cycle life with its very high structural stability. But, Li4Ti5O12 has low electronic conductivity at room temperature resulting in initial capacity loss and poor rate performance. In this study, we have researched the developed electrochemical characteristics of carbon-coated Li4Ti5O12 as anode material of hybrid capacitor. We utilized polymerization of styrene for carbon pre-coating. Carbon-coated Li4Ti5O12 and nano particle size afford an outstanding electrochemical performance, including an excellent rate capability and higher capacitor. |
