Simple and Eco-friendly radiolytic reduction of graphene oxide |

In this study, a simple and eco-friendly reduction of graphene oxide (GO) through radiation processing was described. The GO synthesized by a modified Hummer’s method was dispersed in an aqueous alcoholic mixture, and then irradiated by electron beam at various absorbed doses. The electron beam-induced reduction of GO was investigated in terms of chemical structure, thermal stability, dispersibility and electrical conductivity. The experimental results revealed that the GO was successfully reduced by electron beam irradiation, which was dependent on the absorbed dose. |
