제목 Effect of Binder and Other Excipients on the Dissolution and Storage Stability of Lansoprazole-loaded Alginate Granule
초록 Sodium alginate has been widely used in a variety of oral and topical pharmaceutical formulations. It promotes gelation by chelation with metal ion such as calcium chloride due to its specific molecular structure. We used lansoprazole as a model drug, therapeutics for gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, and prepared granules by encapsulating the drug with sodium alginate. Lansoprazole is so unstable in acid that degrades before it reaches small intestine, and its storage stability seems to be worsen because of outer moisture. So, it needs to devise the process to acquire the gastric resistance and storage stability.
In this study, we used hydroxy propyl starch and sodium algnate as film former and varied the amount of binder and other factors and evaluated the effect of those factors on the dissolution and storage stability.
