Prevention of harmful algal bloom species using chitosan |
| 초록 |
In this study, we investigated that chitosan have a potential ability of controll to harmful algal without cytotoxicity at marine organisms. Here, chitosan is proposed as new algicidal compounds in combating harmful algal bloom (HAB) cells. Plasma membrane of HAB was disrupted by chitosan and its intracellular components were analyzed by HPLC. Furthermore, chitosan can be controlling HAB with minimal impact on marine ecology.
