The processes for separating biogas generated during the biological transformation of organic waste can largely be divided into the CH4 upgrading process for bio-methane production and the CO2 recovery process for separation and utilization of CO2. In this study, a hollow fiber membrane module for gas separation was used to derive the optimum operating conditions. Various module arrangements were tested in the CO2 and CH4 recovery experiments to check for the arrangements that enabled recovery of over 95% of CO2 and recovery of over 97% CH4 at a maximum efficiency of 79%, respectively. A biogas separation technology using a hollow fiber membrane was applied to confirm the optimum module structure for CO2 and CH4 separation. |
