제목 | Multiscale hierarchical MoS2 wrinkle for hydrogen evolution reaction |
초록 | Bio-inspired, wrinkle structures have been generated from deformation mismatch in skin and substrate layered structures. Wrinkle structures can perform abnormal properties when these are applied on 2D materials such as graphene, h-BN, and transition dichalcogenides (TMD). Recently, wrinkle generation with graphene or graphene oxide has been reported with new optical and electrical development. Although wrinkle control with graphene and graphene oxide has been studied, primary and simple wrinkle was generated and both controllability and multiscale hierarchical wrinkle are still promised to be used to various applications such as catalyst and sensing devices. In this work, we demonstrated precisely controllable TMDs’ wrinkle and a new hierarchical wrinkling system for TMDs with multi length scale (e.g., nm to µm). We fabricated MoS2 wrinkle on shrinkage polystyrene (PS) film by strain relief. As further controllability, we demonstrated hierarchical MoS2 wrinkle by coating polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as second skin layer. We applied MoS2 wrinkle to hydrogen evolution production for using potential advantages of wrinkle structure. MoS2 wrinkle performed enhanced catalytic behavior due to high effective surface area and superaerophobicity from topological effect. |
