제목 Improving Ni-based catalyst activity for selective hydrodeoxygenation of lignin derived-oxygenates and fast pyrolysis bio-oil
초록 Fast pyrolysis bio-oils have currently been recognized as an essential feedstock to supplement petroleum-based oil. In this study, we synthesized highly selective cyclic alcohols from fast pyrolysis bio-oil selective hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) treatment over NiFe/TiO2 bimetallic catalyst. The effect of catalyst preparation method and iron (Fe) incorporation into Ni NPs on different metal-oxide supports were investigated. The as-synthesized NiFe/TiO2-HT exhibited higher HDO activity as compared to their monometallic constituent and that of non-reducible metal oxide-supported catalyst. Nearly complete alkyl-methoxyphenols conversion was observed with high selectivity cyclohexanol at 270 °C for 1 h under 5MPa H2 condition. The corresponding catalyst characterization suggested that the enhanced catalytic performance of guaiacol HDO is mainly due to synergistic effect between Ni and Fe species at the interfacial site with high NiFe NPs dispersion over TiO2.
