Graphene oxide membranes, which are hierarchically stacked two-dimensional materials, have a massive interest in water vapor/gas separation due to their excellent permeability and selectivity. In this study, we prepared free-standing GO membranes with different flake sizes and various modified methods. The effect of the GO nanosheet size and C/O ratio on the water vapor transport characteristics was investigated. The GO membranes exhibit extremely high water vapor permeability of 1.1×105 Barrer and a water vapor/N2 selectivity of 104 at a relative humidity of 70% and 30 oC. These results show the great potential of GO membranes to improve gas dehumidification from flowing gas mixtures. |
