In-vitro Evaluation of Tissue Engineering Based Artificial Membrane Bones. |

In this study, we developed a novel artificial bone membrane for bone regeneration. Polycaprolactone (PCL), gelatin (GEL) and tri-calcium phosphate (TCP) membrane were fabricated using electrospinning process. Microstructures and morphologies of GEL loaded PCL (PCL/GEL), GEL and TCP loaded PCL (PCL/GEL/TCP) were carried out using a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope. In-vitro studies using MC3TC-E1 pre-osteoblast cells showed that PCL/GEL/TCP membranes were excellent biocompatibilities and supported the cell attachment and proliferation. To make the artificial membrane bone, we seeded bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs) on the PCL/GEL/TCP membrane to differentiated into osteoblasts. The differentiated cells were evaluated with alizarin red staining and western blots by 7 and 14 days. |
