In this study, a carbon precursor was synthesized by using PFO (Pyrolysis Fuel Oil) and waste PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and activated by a chemical activation method to produce activated carbon, and its electrochemical performance was investigated. PET was added during the production of pitch (carbon precursor), and chemical activation was carried out to develop the specific surface area and pore structure. The characteristics of pitch and the change of properties of carbon material were measured by BET and XRD. A pouch type EDLC was prepared for the measurement of electrochemical properties. |
