제목 The study of thermal properties and mechanical properties for polyphenylene sulfide and modified multi-walled carbon nanotube composite
초록 In this study, neat PPS and PPS composites were prepared. Composites were prepared with different content of raw Multi-walled carbon nanotube (r-MWCNT). In mechanical test, PPS/r-MWCNT composites showed increased tensile strength than neat PPS. In particular, all PPS/r-MWCNT composite showed significant improvement in elongation at break compared with neat PPS. 1wt% r-MWCNT/PPS had 30 times higher elongation at break than neat PPS. Young’s modulus of PPS/r-MWCNT composites was a little decreased. The thermal properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Heat capacity of PPS/r-MWCNT composites was increased according to the content of r-MWCNT were increased. But addition of MWCNT had little effect on another thermal properties. To improve composite's thermal properties Multi-walled carbon nanotube had been modified(mo-MWCNT) with acid treatment. mo-MWCNT characterized by Raman Spectrometer.
