제목 Investigation for Shear-Induced Crystallization of Core-Shell Nanoparticles by Melt Shear Assembly
초록 Colloidal photonic crystal is a material that expresses structural color through regular arrangement of particles. Recently, The process of fabricating the melt-shear assembly method is being studied as a technology that can generate fast and continuous photonic films as a dry process. In this case, crystallization of the particles inside the film is formed according to the stress, so an analysis of the crystallization phenomenon according to the stress is required. We fabricated photonic films through melt shear assembly of core-shell(CS) nanoparticles. CS nanoparticles consisting of a polystyrene core, poly(methyl methacrylate) interlayer, and poly(ethyl acrylate) shell were synthesized. Various CS nanoparticles with a different core diameter or shell thickness were prepared to control the optical property. In the film, a crystalline phase and an amorphous phase were observed in the film thickness direction, and this aspect was different depending on the melt shear process conditions. By comparing experimental results and computer simulation, we analyzed the characteristic shear stress condition which enables crystallization of CS nanoparticles during the melt shear process.
