For the purpose of producing solution process blue material anthracene (A) was introduced as substituent to TAT, a blue flourescent emitter, to synthesize 2-(9-anthracenyl)-9,10-bis (3’’,5’’-diphenylbiphenyl-4’-yl)anthracene (A-TAT). Two materials indicated typical absorption peaks of anthracene in the range of 350 and 400 nm. The PLmax were 436 nm (TAT) and 451 nm (A-TAT) respectiely. The OLED device structure applied to the solution process was as follows: ITO/PEDOT: PSS (40 nm) / PVK (15 nm) / synthesized compounds (45 nm) / TPBi (20 nm) / LiF (1 nm) / Al (200 nm). The operating voltage for the two devices at 20 mA/cm2 were 9.82 V (TAT) and 7.90 V (A-TAT) respectively. Luminance efficiency and power efficiency of the two devices at 20 mA/cm2 were 0.59 cd/A, 0.21 lm/W (TAT) and 1.03 cd/A, 0.45lm/W (A-TAT). As bulky group was included to main chromophore, device efficiency was increased. |
