Electro-optic polyimides containing disulfide group with improved poling property |
초록 |
We have synthesized electro-optic polyimides containing disulfide groups in a polymer backbone and investigated the effect of the disulfide group on the poling property of polymers. As is known, the disulfide groups induce dynamic crosslinking through reversible exchange reactions at temperatures above the glass transition temperature of the polyimides. The electro-optic coefficient of the polyimide-introduced EO device measured at 1.3 μm was 54.8 pm/V, which was much higher than that of the polyimide device without the disulfide group. That can be seen as an increase in the mobility of the EO branch by the reversible decomposition of the disulfide group during the poling process. In addition, the electro-optic coefficient was maintained above 99% for more than 500 hours at 80℃. |
