제목 One-pot synthesis of dual-emissive carbon dots with spectral purity and tunability
초록 Carbon dots (CNDs) have been intensively studied as a fluorescent material because of its high photostability, low toxicity, and various precursors for synthesis. CNDs generally show luminescent properties attributed to surface functional groups or oxygen-derived defects. Therefore, electrons are easily transferred to various surface energy states, which causes a large energy gap usually from blue to green with wide FWHM. This was a constraint for the application of CNDs as an optical device with high color purity and high quantum yield. Here in, we propose a one-step synthesis of CNDs with narrow FWHM and high color purity in dual regions (402, 585 nm). By controlling the polymerization of 1-naphthylamine, we controlled the ratio of purple and red emission. We showed the chemical properties of CNDs through Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The differences in the optical properties of red and purple region were revealed through time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC). Through fabrication of LED, our CNDs will encourage further application of CNDs to optical device fields.
