제목 Preparation of Polyethylenimine Based Core-Shell Nanoparticles for CO2 Adsorption
초록 Core-shell polymeric nanoparticles have attracted much interest for their diverse applications in many fields. These core-shell polymeric nanoparticles with hydrophobic cores and hydrophilic shells were synthesized via graft polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA) from water-soluble polyethylenimine(PEI). The emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization was initiated by generated free radicals from tert-butyl hydroperoxide(TBHP). In this study, PEI based core-shell nanoparticles were synthesized as CO2 adsorbents. PEI has a number of amine groups that can react with CO2 and hydrophobic cores as solid supports enhance mechanic strength. The morphology of nanoparticles was spherical in shape and well-defined core-shell nanostructure illustrated by SEM and TEM. The presence of grafted PMMA on PEI was determined by FR-IR spectroscope. The CO2 adsorption capacities were investigated by TGA. One of the CO2 adsorption capacities were investigated 0.4 mg/g.
