Polyaniline (PANI) has been widely used as electrode materials for development of advanced energy storage devices because of its facile synthetic method and low cost. For obtaining high performance PANI electrodes, various synthesis methods have been developed such as chemical oxidative polymerization, interfacial polymerization and electrochemical deposition polymerization etc. Although the above-mentioned methods have many advantages, the chemical synthesis method can take up to 24 hours and the electrochemical synthesis method is not available for mass production. We report the facile, fast and one-step synthesis of PANI by using hydrodynamic Talyor-couette flow. PANI pseudocapacitors show superior rate capability and cycling performances. |
