제목 Evaluation of iron oxide encapsulated PLGA nanoparticles as MRI contrast agent
초록 For biomedical applications, inorganic particles are required to be concentrated or mixed in various environments. When particles are irreversibly aggregated, they lose some important features, such as their large surface-to-volume ratio and their biostability. In this study, we propose here the use of iron oxide encapsulated PLGA nanoparticles as a potent targeted MR contrast agent for a therapeutic or a diagnosis agent. Prepared nanoparticles were analyzed by TEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy and DLS. Significant targeting intensity enhancement was observed in Her-2/neu-overexpressing cell and a slight decrease in signal intensity was observed in Her-2/neu-overexpressing in a breast cancer model.
