A series of shape memory polyurethane (SMPU) were synthesized from polycaprolactone diols (PCLs) and 4,4´-methylenedicyclohexyl diisocyanate (H12MDI) with the addition of vinyl modified graphene oxide(MGO) to the formulations of conventional polyurethane acrylate based SMPU. The effects of MGO particle on infrared light-absortion shape recovery behaviors as well as the conventional direct heat actuated SMPU material have been studied in terms of mechanical, dynamic mechanical, thermal properties and thermomechanical cyclic behaviors. It was found that the light absorbed by the vinyl modified graphene oxide could induce the melting of polyurethane soft segment to recover the deformed shape by morphology change. |
