In this study, we extracted natural pigment from Chryseobacterium nepalense sp. and Deinococcus wulumqiensis sp. isolated from soil source. The yellow pigment produced by Chryseobacterium sp. is Flexirubin, which is known to have antibacterial, anti-tumor, and UV-blocking effects. Deinoxanthin, a red pigment known to produce some Deinococcus sp., is one of the carotenoid that blocks gamma rays, has UV resistance, and is known to have an antioxidant effect. In this study, the antioxidant effect, antibacterial effect, and UV resistance of the extracted Flexirubin (FL) and deinoxanthin pigment (DX) were measured. And the molecular structures of the pigment were predicted through H-NMR and LC/MS. As a result of the antioxidant test, the FL pigment had a MIC50 value of 0.6 mg/ml, and the DX pigment had a MIC50 value of 3.2 mg/ml. For the application of the extracted natural pigment, here, the casein paint, a paint made from milk, and FL and DX pigments are mixed to make a bio paint. |
