제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Organic Dyes containing Bis(vinylene phenylene dendrons) for Efficient Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
초록 We synthesized novel conjugated organic dyes for dye-sensitized solar cells, alternative to current ruthenium-based dye complexes, to lower production cost. Based on a basic structure of an organic dye designed by JJ Ko group we introduced a novel dendron moiety containing long alkyl chains on wedge of the dendrons, expecting that the alky chains may act as an hydrophobic energy barrier between TiO2 and redox species, resulting in reduced recombination reaction between a hole on redox species and a photo-induced electron on TiO2. In addition, the alkyl chains may prevent aggregation of dyes, which is believed as one of main factors in decreasing device efficiency.
