Polymer solar cells (PSCs), especially bulk heterojunction (BHJ) PSCs comprising p-conjugated polymers and fullerene derivatives have attracted much interest in recent years due to their solution processability and flexibility, which potentially allow them to be manufactured using low-cost, high-throughput processes such as roll-to-roll printing and inkjet printing. Herein, we will discuss the synthesis, characterization, and optical properties of the polymers as well as the photovoltaic properties of the devices based on these polymers. On the other hand, the influence of the number of thiophene rings and DIO as the processing additive will be discussed. |
