In this work, we have used a monolayer film consisting of the rattle-type TiO2/WO3 submicron spheres as a scattering layer for the high-performance dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The rattle-type TiO2/WO3 submicron spheres were fabricated by using hydrogel microspheres as a polymeric template in aqueous solution. The internal structure of the TiO2/WO3 submicron spheres depends on pH of reaction medium during the diffusion of two types of metal precursors into the hydrogel microspheres. The hierarchical structure of the TiO2/WO3 submicron spheres has a great effect on the power conversion efficiency of DSSCs due to the multiple light reflecting and scattering. The morphological, structural changes and crystallinities of all samples were characterized by SEM, HR-TEM, FIB-SEM, and XRD. |
