제목 ​Preparation of photo-curable silica-zirconia thin layers for flexible hard coating and their properties
초록 With the recent development of foldable and flexible devices, flexible cover window must maintain high hardness and mechanical strength without deformation. Colorless polyimide (CPI) being in the spotlight as a high-transparency cover window material has a low surface scratch resistance. Our group developed photo-curable silica-zirconia coating solution with hydrophobicity by sol-gel reaction. The coating solutions including photo-initiator were coated on the CPI and exposed to UV light. Finally, transparent water-repellent coating layers were fabricated using synthesized fluorinated silica-zirconia materials on a colorless polyimide substrate, which was crosslinked by photo-polymerization. The film properties such as the wettability, pencil hardness, surface roughness, and optical properties, were evaluated. The layers appeared transparent hydrophobicity, and good hardness as measuring above 100˚ water contact angle and as 3H pencil hardness at a load of 500g.
