Preparation of photo-curable silica-zirconia thin layers for flexible hard coating and their properties |
초록 |
With the recent development of foldable and flexible devices, flexible cover window must maintain high hardness and mechanical strength without deformation. Colorless polyimide (CPI) being in the spotlight as a high-transparency cover window material has a low surface scratch resistance. Our group developed photo-curable silica-zirconia coating solution with hydrophobicity by sol-gel reaction. The coating solutions including photo-initiator were coated on the CPI and exposed to UV light. Finally, transparent water-repellent coating layers were fabricated using synthesized fluorinated silica-zirconia materials on a colorless polyimide substrate, which was crosslinked by photo-polymerization. The film properties such as the wettability, pencil hardness, surface roughness, and optical properties, were evaluated. The layers appeared transparent hydrophobicity, and good hardness as measuring above 100˚ water contact angle and as 3H pencil hardness at a load of 500g. |
