제목 | Ni-Mg-Al2O3mixed metal oxides for chemical-looping of CH4 decomposition |
초록 | Catalytic methane decomposition to form H2 and carbons is beneficial to adjust greenhouse emission, where the formed surface carbons can be further reacted to form CO by a reverse Boudouard reaction via chemical looping process. Chemical looping-based catalytic methane decomposition (CL-CMD) with successive reverse Boudouard reaction has great potential to be an alternative process for dry reforming of methane(DRM). In the present study, Ni-MgAl2O4 mixed metal oxides synthesized by sol-gel method and mesoporous Ni/MgAl2O4 synthesized by evaporation induced self-assembly are compared to verify the CL-CDM reaction, and proper metal oxide phases of the Ni and MgAl2O4 were investigated to confirm its potential application for chemical looping process. |
