제목 Dynamic Mechanical Properties of UV-Curable Polyurethane Dispersions
초록 Waterborne UV-curable polyurethane dispersions(UV-PUD) systems have an advantage in relation to occupational health and environmental issues; UV curing reduces or eliminates solvent emission compared to solvent based system, and saves energy.
An UV curable system is prepared from of reactive urethane oligomer, reactive diluents, and photoinitiators. Isocyanate-terminated polyurethane prepolymer is reacted with an hydroxylated acrylate such as 2-hydroxyethylacrylate(HEA) or 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, and is then dispersed into water using a tertiary amine, triethylamine(TEA), as a neutralizing agent for the carboxylate function viz, dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA).
In this experiment, we have studied the effect of ionic content and prepolymer chain length, functionality of the hydroxy acrylate in terms of mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties of the UV-curable PUD.
