제목 Conjugated Ionic Polymer with Side-Chain Liquid Crystalline Moieties
초록 Conjugated ionic polymer system from acetylene derivatives have potential as materials for mixed ionic and electronic conductivity, energy storage devices such as batteries and permselective membrane, and light-emitting devices, due to the their extensive conjugation and various functionalities. The conjugated ionic polymer with liquid crystalline (LC) moiety was prepared by the activated polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine using the LC-alkyl bromide at elevated polymerization temperature. The color of the reaction solution changed from light brown of the initial mixture of 2-ethynylpyridine and LC alkyl bromide into dark black. The polymer structure of the resulting polymer was characterized by elemental analysis, NMR, infrared, and UV-visible spectroscopies. The polymers were completely soluble in DMF, DMSO. N,N-dimethylacetamide, formic acid, etc. The photoluminescence peak is located at 430 and 454 nm corresponding to the photon energy of 2.8 and 2.66 eV.
