Synthesis of a small molecule having a coordination site and its photovoltaic application |

Solution-processable small molecules have attracted interests owing to their advantages such as monodispersity, facile synthesis and easy purification over polymeric materials. In this research, we synthesized small molecules having a coordination site. A coordinated metal has been known for improving charge carrier mobility. It can be also used for tuning redox and photophysical properties of the small molecule donor by adjusting electron density of the coordinating group. We investigated the effects of the coordinated metal on the properties of the donor. |
