It was prepared three types of polymer-silica hybrid nanocomposites were prepared. The ternary polymer hybrids were prepared with poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) and poly(methylm ethacrylate)(PMMA) utilizing the sol-gel reaction of tetraethoxysilane(TEOS). The blend of 80wt% PVDF and 20wt% PMMA were compared with various amounts of TEOS. The effect of mixing sequences to prepare the hybrid composite films was discussed. Relationship between synthesis condition and resulting physical properties have been studied. Their crystalline structure, morphology and mechanical properties were discussed using IR, thermogravimeteric analysis(TGA) and X-ray diffraction(XRD), etc.
