Block copolymers (BCPs), composed of different polymer covalently linked together, self-assemble into the arrays of various morphologies with typical feature size, and its tunability has been extensively investigated. Specially, 3D network structures have a potential in various application such as separations, photonic crystals and solar-cell. Solvent annealing is effective technique to induce the self-assembly of BCP in film geometry, in enhancing chain mobility by tuning the surface energy between the two blocks. In this study, thin films of polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinyl pyridine) (PS-b-P2VP) on Si-wafer were exposed to controlled solvent vapor. The geometry of block copolymer thin films was investigated using Scanning Force Microscopy (SFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Grazing Incidence Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (GISAXS). |
