Development of SSPEI coated gold nanoparticles for Photodynamic Therapy and Gene Therapy |

Nano-medicine is the application of nanotechnology to medicine. It is an exciting new field which offers novel ways to detect cancer biomarkers at low concentrations and target cancer cells deep sites deep inside the body. The Aim of this Study is to develop SSPEI coated gold nanoparticles as a potential candidate for photodynamic therapy and gene therapy. The nanoparticles were well characterized by DLS and TEM which revealed that the nanoparticles are in the range of ＜100 nm. Physicochemical characterizations of the prepared nanoparticles were also studied. Gene expression capabilities of the nanoparticles were confirmed by fluorescent microscopy. |
