Effect of IDA/HEA Weight Ratio on Rheological Properties |

Pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) are viscoelastic materials that can adhere to substrate surfaces under light, heat and pressure. UV curable acrylic PSAs are the most widely used type in PSA. Acrylic PSAs have different thermal, mechanical and viscoelastic properties depending on the using monomer. We synthesized acrylic PSAs of co-polymer consisting of isodecyl acrylate (IDA) and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA). IDA used as soft monomer and HEA used as hard monomer. Rheological properties of prepared co-polymers were investigated by rheometer. As a result of the rheometer data, as the IDA weigh ratio increased, the Tg and storage modulus of the co-polymer decreased. |
