With the aim of investigating the effect of the metal penetration into organic semiconductor on electrical properties of organic thin-film transistor, gold was deposited onto pentacene films with different deposition rate. In order to exclude the thermal effect during the gold deposition, gold was deposited stepwise. The abrupt interface between the gold electrode and pentacene film led to the lower contact resistance, and a subsequent increase of the field-effect mobility. |
