제목 Tailored Activated carbon (fiber) for reducing Noxious Gases
초록 In this study, tailored activated carbon (fiber) was prepared by using steam activation for removal of noxious gases. The activated carbon (fiber) were prepared under different conditions of activation temperature and time. The N2 adsorption isotherm characteristics at 77 K were confirmed by BET, BJH, and NLDFT equations. The noxious gas removal performance of the activated carbon (fiber) was measured by GC-MS. From the results, it was revealed that the pore structure depended on the function of crystallinity and carbonization conditions and that the various pore size distributions depended on the function of the activation time. From the results, the pore structure optimized for the reducing noxious gases of activated carbon (fiber) was different for each noxious gase. It indicates that the noxious gas reduction properties could be a function not only of specific surface area and total pore volume but also of the respective optimized pore size and volume of adsorbent.
