Preparation of cation-exchange membrane from styrene-hydroxyethyl acrylate-lauryl methacrylate (St-HEA-LMA) terpolymer |
| 초록 |
Ion-exchange membrane has been widely used for recovery of valuable metal, water purification.The polystyrene ion-exchange membrane was not durability because of brittleness. To improve flexibility, terpolymer based on styrene, hydroxyethyl acrylate and lauryl methacrylate were synthesized by solution polymerization various monomer molar ratio. The cation-exchange membranes were prepared by thermal crosslinking and sulfonation reaction. The membrane’s chemical structures were investigated by FT-IR spectrometer, and the membrane’s basic properties such as DS,IEC, water uptake and electrical resistance were measured for the prepared cation-exchange membranes. |
