Algicidal Effect of Chitosan according to the Various Molecular Weight from Green Tide |
| 초록 |
In this study, we investigated that various chitosan with different molecular weight have a potential ability of control to harmful algal without cytotoxicity at green tide. Here, chitosan is proposed as new algicidal compounds in combating harmful algal bloom (HAB) cells such as green tide. Plasma membrane of HAB was disrupted by chitosan and its intracellular components were analyzed by HPLC. Furthermore, chitosan can be controlling HAB with minimal impact on freshwater ecology.
