제목 pH and reduction triggered poly(histidine) coated mesoporous silica nanoparticles for targeted delivery of curcumin
초록 Curcumin encapsulated mesoporous silica nano particles (MSNPs) attached with poly(histidine) (pHis) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) through disulphide linkages and investigated their pH and reduction triggered release behavior. The enhanced CUR release showed at intracellular environment by degradation of pHis and PEG under glutathione (GSH) than extracellular environment. The cell viability results of CUR loaded MSNPs showed high anticancer activity towards MCF-7 cancer cells. The cellular uptake of coated MSNPs mainly caused targeting ability of pHis for MCF-7 cells. Hence, these results suggest that the pH and reduction triggered MSNPs offer versatility for intracellular targeted drug release of hydrophobic drugs in cancer therapy.
